This Impressive Engraved Goblet Was Created To Celebrate Queen Elizabeth Ii’S Accession To The Throne Of England And Coronation. Crafted By Thomas Goode &Amp; Co. Around The Coronation On June 2Nd 1953, This Vessel Would Have Been A Treasured Souvenir Of The Joyous Occasions. The Historic Events Are Marked By An Engraving Around The Rim Of The Glass, Which Reads: “The Coronation Of Queen Elizabeth Ii, Accession February 8Th 1952”. The Form Is Further Adorned By The Monarch’S Crowned Initials, A Tudor Rose And The Motto “Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense” (Evil To Him Who Evil Thinks), Which Symbolizes The Order Of The Garter, An Ancient Order Of Knighthood Of Which The Queen Is Sovereign. The Goblet Is Completed By A Commemorative Silver Coin Contained Within The Stem Of The Glass.
