In A Style Reminiscent Of Louis Xv Rococo, Two Acanthus Leaf Urns, An Inkwell And Powder Shaker, Are Joined By Soldierly Putto Upon The Serpentine Marble Base. This Well-Balanced Design Is Enhanced By The Exceptional Quality Of Materials And Skillful Execution. A Revival Of The Luxurious Louis Xv Style Took Place In France In The Mid 19Th Century. It Came About As Part Of The Preference During This Period, Known As The Second Empire, For A Mixture Of Styles From Previous Centuries.
