This George Iii-Era Sterling Biggin, Or Coffee Pot, Was Crafted By Birmingham Silversmith Matthew Boulton. Its Baluster Form Is Set Upon A Stand Of Paw Feet Equipped With A Burner, And It Retains Its Original Scrolling Wood Handle And Finial. Boulton, Acclaimed For His Remarkable Silverplate, Created A Comparatively Few Pieces In Sterling And Examples Such As This Are Quite A Rarity.
