Classical Scenes Depicting Hellenistic Myth Are Featured In Exquisite Detail On The Vessel In A Clear Homage To Classical Motifs Of Ancient Greek Pottery. Black Basalt Was Developed In 1767 By Founder Josiah Wedgwood I With The Firm’S Foundational Motto, “Black Is Sterling And Will Last Forever.”
